Can You Eat The Fish

I don't mean to sound stupid, but can you eat the fish out of the James. I have always heard the stories of high levels of different things in the water and was just curious. I am looking at a trip around the Blunk access in October. Thanks for any help.

You can eat everything except for the smallmouth. You dont want to eat those
