J-Doc Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Like trying to unhook a ticked of porcupine. Lol!! That's a pretty accurate analogy. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
5bites Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 I fished this section (west of eagle rock) with the green yesterday afternoon. I caught one one the bluff, one on a dock, in a cut, dropshotting 22', one in a cove, and maybe another I can't remember. No keepers. All on a spinnerbait other than the dropshot. I threw a wart too. That last stretch I really figured would give up a few with the wind on it but nope. Nothing. Maybe the shade hurt? The waters cold enough now that sun is a good thing. Keep in mind I had 3 others in the boat with me too lol. Not complaining though. I expected to do better this weekend but it just didn't pan out.
Andy & JoAnne Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 We "hooked up" with TrophyFishR and his wife a few summers ago and did some SMB fishing on Crooked Creek. Who would have thought with us living in Seattle. He and his wife are great folks and we had a really great time hammering the smallies. Look forward to fishing with them again in the future.

We fished the bank opposite Devils Dive (J.D. Fletchers old place) For future reference, in between the two of us, the inside bend at Stubblefield Branch, is an all summer bass and walleye flat.
rps Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 hey, both you, stay out of my areas . bo merc1997, let's get 5bites to join us early next summer and we can do an in depth share and dissect for this area.
5bites Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 I am down whenever guys! I may actually be down for several days come thanksgiving weekend. That's the tentative plan anyway. I appreciate the heads up rps. I honestly haven't got these fish figured out in this part of the lake yet despite fishing mainly the area within a few miles of that picture for the last few years almost exclusively. on table rock I mean sd I fish grand quite a bit. I don't know whether to fish them like river fish, deep fish that come shallow at times etc? I just haven't processed the lay of the land in this area yet I guess. I'm speaking mainly about quality. Come thanksgiving I hope to get them on a wart like I did a few Novembers ago. I think my problem is Im expecting to many fish to be concentrated in an area and am trying to run a pattern rather than learn more spots in the area that are reliable that I can build on like champ has mentioned before. Or I need to slow down a bit.
5bites Posted November 4, 2014 Posted November 4, 2014 hey, both you, stay out of my areas . bo I hope some of the fish you dropped in end up in some of your areas lol.
