Quillback Posted November 2, 2014 Posted November 2, 2014 Fished the White river channel down river from Big M and also fished up the Kings for a couple of miles. Much better bite in the Kings, threw a spinner bait (per Champ) for the Kings fish, and caught a couple in the White on jigs and a pencil popper. Caught about a dozen total. If I had a chance to do it over again, I would have just fished the Kings. Water temp 64.
Donna G Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Nice one. We got on the trailer at dark and are headed home. We fished the Kings, too. It took some work and time but we had a decent day, in the neighborhood of 30 overall with 8 keeps - 4 LM and 4 spots. Nothing huge. Biggest was 3lb. All on blades and cranks. Quillback Posted November 3, 2014 Author Posted November 3, 2014 Were you and Champ about a mile from the mouth of the Kings about noonish? If so, I might have seen you as I drove by going down river. If I would have known it was you folks I would've stopped and said howdy.
Donna G Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 We were in that area. It was probably us. Champ said he recalls seeing a boat go by. We didn't see over three or four bass boats all day. Stop anytime. Donna Gilzow Bella Vista, Arkansas The charm of fishing is that it is the pursuit of what is elusive but attainable, a perpetual series of occasions for hope. --John Buchan, 1915
jeb Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 A spinner bait? Say it ain't so, Jeff! :-) Nice looking bass. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
fishingaddiction Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 Good fishing QB. The numbers of fish being caught up the White and the Kings is really good and should get better. I have been struggling with numbers in the KC area, but the few I have been catching have been nice keepers. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
merc1997 Bo Posted November 3, 2014 Posted November 3, 2014 nice job! the shallow bite should just get better with the colder weather, but i would expect the deeper bite to begin to pick up also. bo
