Experience With Cordura

I am sure the local sewing shop would carry a sturdy enough needle to stitch it. It would be like stitching a piece of canvas. You will need a heavy thread also. I really don't think a good sewing machine would have a problem.

Worse case, you may have to stich by hand. Do a google search for sewing canvas and you should find tools to do the job.

I made a scissor type blind a couple of years ago for my 16ft Lowe Roughneck using conduit and cordura as a base material. I installed grommets to the cordura. I used these points to secure the cordura to the blind frame. When the blind is up, it is tight and I have not had any issues with ripping or tearing. The cordura is a durable fabric to begin with. I have been pleased with the material. This year I added a TON of raffia and other materials to break up the outline of the boat. I hope that helps you out.

I'll also add, if your anything like me, it will never be good enough. At this point I probably could have bought 2 pre-frabbed blinds for what I have invested in mine. What fun is that though!
