Chief Grey Bear Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 No I don't think was a reasonable response. Sounded like a little kid that didn't get picked to be on the cool kids team and was having pouty session. With all due respect. Sounded like a little kid that didn't get picked to be on the cool kids team and was having pouty session. With all due respect. Yeah, it's easy to read it that way. But after Mizzou left the conference, the reasons to play were pretty much the same as against just any non-conference team. What's the upside? John

BATCAB27 Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 you could have beat us up in bball and we would have beat you up in football. whats the harm? If Bama jumped ship and went to the ACC i bet there would still be an Iron bowl.
Wayne SW/MO Posted November 15, 2014 Posted November 15, 2014 I'm with Ness. The whole historical aspect of the game also included the Big 8 and then tthe Big 12. Once any part of it's gone, it's gone. The bulk of the reasoning was never about athletics anyway, it was about money. The SEC wanted to expand to get more money overall and Missouri's powers that be were more than willing to take a share. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
ness Posted November 16, 2014 Posted November 16, 2014 They gave TCU a heck of a fight today. Its been a long time since I've been excited about KUs football. John
