WHARFRAT Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I do not git out into that cold weather anymore. All I do is set at the window with my coffee and wonder how in the hell I used to do it. DANG OP! Quit acting like a neutered cat!!!! lol Actually, the cold don't bother me too much as long as it's not too windy. I'm more apt to be sitting by the window when it's sunny and close to 100! I don't take the heat too well. I'm like you about jigs and nibs, much rather fish with them than drowning minnows out in the boat. About the only time I use minnows is when I just want to relax and fish off my dock. Sittin there having a few man sodas or some aged grape juice. By that time, I don't really care if they bite or not. Have fun drinking you coffee, I'm probably not too far behind you!!! @lozcrappie
fishinwrench Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I wish I had more ambition during colder weather, but the further it gets below 50° the less likely I am to make a commitment such as launching a boat. If it is below 45° with anything more than a gentle breeze...forget it. I'll go stand in a river and trout fish during the dead of Winter but there's something way more unpleasant about being out on a big lake in a boat on a cold windy day.... I'd almost rather go shoe shopping with my wife.
Old plug Posted December 2, 2014 Posted December 2, 2014 I second that Wrenxh. I still want to make that trip down to the ricer with you. My main trouble in the cold is the darn blood thinners I nave to take everyday.
Flatbottom Boy Posted December 3, 2014 Author Posted December 3, 2014 If I have the option to pick I would..but my options are pretty limited to just taking whatever day I get. Im sure when I retire in some of that lakefront property Glen has been showing me Ill be drinking coffee looking out my window laughing at those poor souls that are forced to fish in the blizzards. But most likely Ill still be suckered into fishing the blizzards waiting for that thump I love so much. Good luck gents gotta board a plane in a few hours...wish you all the best and hope to see you out on the water in the spring.
Old plug Posted December 4, 2014 Posted December 4, 2014 Well bye for awhile. Be Careful where your going and stay safe
