Members HeWhoFishesSolo Posted November 17, 2014 Members Posted November 17, 2014 Anyone tried this? I generally am not a fan of the idea of the Umbrella Rig, i dont own one yet.. But i cant help but wonder what one would do with ScroungerHeaded Flukes on it.
Ham Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 That's always an option I suppose, but the tail wags the dog pretty well as it is. With a regular boot tail grub on them, they wobble like a barefoot drunk on a hot tin roof. It is just about a rig time. Rig it up and let us know how it goes. 5bites Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 My only concern is weight. I've barely used the thing but learned quick it doesn't take much weight to get it down or make it a load for the rod. I run as many weightless hooks as I can. Again I'm by no means a guru on the thing. At all.
Members HeWhoFishesSolo Posted November 18, 2014 Author Members Posted November 18, 2014 I guess it would be heavy as heck
Ham Posted November 18, 2014 Posted November 18, 2014 I have purchased a rigs that are wire only. There is no extra weight on the frame. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
