Mark Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 A group of 4-5 guys are considering a first time trip to the North Fork of the White - we've talked about it many times. I have researched a few places to stay - ROLF, Sunburst Ranch, Daxt Mill cabin. We would like a place on the water, somewhere to wade fish, room for everyone to have a bed or couch, BBQ, have some cocktails, hot showers, and relax, with nice accommodations but not necessarily Five Star. Anyone familiar with the area have any preference on a place to stay? Some of the place at ROLF look awesome, but maybe a little pricey for us. Things like fireplace and hot tub are nice, but we could manage without. On the other hand, $10 or so per person per night is not a big deal either if the place and fishing is worth it. Really like the looks of some of the ROLF cabins on the water. And like the idea of private access to fishing at some of the spots. We're looking at 2 nights perhaps Mon/Tues Dec. 29-30. Hoping to hear from some people who have stayed at a few of the places to compare price, fishing, and accommodations. Thanks in advance, Mark
Justin Spencer Posted November 21, 2014 Posted November 21, 2014 Check out the Landing, at sunburstranchcanoe.com, it rents for $150 per night if you bring your own linens and towels, great wade fishing out front with a nice gravel bar for a bonfire, if you choose to float you can end right at your cabin, we have other options but this is my favorite spot and the best bang for your buck. Members Mac's Orphan Posted November 22, 2014 Members Posted November 22, 2014 This "Justin" guy is all over the place and promotes Sunburst Ranch. You'd think he owned the place!! LOL! If I'd known I was gonna live this long, I would have taken better care of myself...

Rolf has some wonderful cabins and some good wade fishing as well, you can't go wrong either way! fishinwrench Posted November 22, 2014 Posted November 22, 2014 The ROLF cabins are cool (in a romantic kinda way) but if your main goal is to fish and spend your waking hours streamside I'd recommend Sunburst for sure.
Nighthawk Posted November 24, 2014 Posted November 24, 2014 Rent the Chalet at ROLF. No frillls and sleeps plenty.
