Has anybody ever fished from a 16ft Towee or Gheenoe Boat. My cousin is looking at getting a boat with a small outboard that he can use for fishing and duck hunting. mainly fishing some ozark rivers like the eleven point, and the north fork. If anybody has any opinions on these boats let me hear them. Thanks

They are heavy and they are somewhat of a barge to paddle,so not the ideal float fishing craft, but for the combination of uses mentioned not a bad choice.

I have, operated, fished from, and rode in a Towee and I really like them. They are built to last and handle lake duty (boat wakes and chop) well, plus will run as shallow as a Jon boat. Nice and stable when standing up to fish, ect.

The rowing frame is pretty sweet and you can remove it easily when you don't need/want it. Personally my rowing skills are horrible so I'd opt to pole or paddle....or use a trolling motor if I had one of my own.

Trigg will prolly respond shortly and can answer any specific questions on Towee boats.

I've never been in a Gheenoe but quite a few salty flats guys seem to like them a lot.

I think from what I've seen the Towhee would be ny choice for this area. The shallow draft could be a real plus in this part of the country.

Like Wrench pointed out, Trigg is a rep and can honestly answer any questions about them.

Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
