Feathers and Fins Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 You can Launch by the dam or Bertand easily. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
kjackson Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 Forgot about Bertand, and I stopped there, too; Old Timer's is a terrible thing! The water looked a bit froggy to me, so I stopped thinking of it as a driftboat stretch. Is the water below there shallow enough to warrant a drift boat? I'm not at all familiar with this stretch as I've been up to the 62 bridge, and that was as far upstream as I went.
Feathers and Fins Posted November 25, 2014 Posted November 25, 2014 It is for a low draft boat just use caution, the river changes all the time so I always take it slow and know that a new tree, or bush even sediment could make today difficult when yesterday was easy mentality. I wish I fished it more but with PC, HSB, MONTE NE AND RB so close it makes my choices much simpler. https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Jdecoudres Posted November 26, 2014 Author Posted November 26, 2014 Thanks guys. My plan was to put in at the darn and take out at Bertand. I just wanted to make sure that I could make that float with no generation and make sure There is no shoals that will hang me up and get me stuck and not able to get back to the darn. Thanks
Members Beaverdamstore Posted November 30, 2014 Members Posted November 30, 2014 The 1st boat ramp closest to the dam is not useable unless they are generating. Bertrand, Houseman and Beaver Town are your choices. Jim
