ozark trout fisher Posted December 15, 2014 Author Posted December 15, 2014 Yeah it's a pay cut, a salary cut, but there will be other things that make up some of that that come with being head coach. Plus some guys are not about the money. Maybe he just wanted to give it a shot on his own. No matter what it was I'm very happy for MSU. They need something or somebody to get them going. It's a great school with wonderful facilities. They have shown sparks of being able to play in the past few years. Hopefully this gets them going in a good direction. Yeah, I hope it works out for him. Goodness knows he really wants the job. He's getting his pay cut more than in half for this. We've now learned that there is at least one coach in CFB that apparently isn't in it for the money, which is something I'd probably have never guessed at. But I respect him for doing what he wants regardless of the financial reality of it for him. I guess it is a bit easier when "cut in half" still means $270,000/year.
Flysmallie Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 I guess it is a bit easier when "cut in half" still means $270,000/year. This is true! Oh my how will he ever be able to live on such a pathetic wage in Springburg.
ozark trout fisher Posted December 15, 2014 Author Posted December 15, 2014 The way you know college football is out of hand is when you see an HC making over a quarter million and you say "really, that's it?"
Wayne SW/MO Posted December 15, 2014 Posted December 15, 2014 I don't what it pays, but I'm sure some local TV will come his way, not to mention some bargaining power if he's sucessful. Today's release is tomorrows gift to another fisherman.
stlfisher Posted December 23, 2014 Posted December 23, 2014 Looks like Barry Odom is the new DC at Missouri. I like it.
hoglaw Posted November 27, 2015 Posted November 27, 2015 Sloppy start by both sides. Glad I decided to watch this one from home. It's miserable out there.
