I have been told that you can catch walleye under the dam in January when the water is flowing is that true.I did not know there were any walleye in taneycomo.so I guess my question would also be is there any walleye in Taneycomo.

They only show up if they're running either flood gates or sometimes when they're running 4 units for a long period of time.

So- not very often.

I seen a good one by KOA this past October when we were down there. He wouldn't pay any attention to my white jig or jerkbait though. He was a solid 5-6 pounder. My mouth was watering just watching him swim around.....

Are these walleye leftover from when the lake was dammed up.

The trout population is so great, and the walleye population so low you can't say you are effectively walleye fishing below the dam. Plus much better walleye water a short drive away.
