5bites Posted January 12, 2015 Posted January 12, 2015 This is ts a selfish sales pitch but a cheaper option would be a custom built rod made on a mhx 844 blank. The standard mhx isn't as sensitive as a fox to me but a friend that can easily afford any rod he'd want says it's the best jig rid in existence. I've built him several now. The speed and power is no doubt nice on them.

The speed and power is no doubt nice on them. Have not built an 844, but the 843 in a light split grip is a great 1/2oz FB jig rod. Also good for the swing heads and bigger jika rigs.
