edyer Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 I have been been fishing with Wiggle Warts since 1980. First was introduced to them on a trip to Table Rock Lake. Used them up in my home state of Michigan successfully also. I recently started buying Wee warts. Do any of you use them here on Table Rock? They are smaller than the warts, so I thought they may be able to catch fish when the water is cold and clear. I will also be fishing on Bull Shoals the first week in April this spring. Any particular colors or patterns of warts work better on Bull Shoals, compared to Table Rock, or do the same colors work at both places? Thanks.
Quillback Posted December 28, 2014 Posted December 28, 2014 Never have fished a Wee Wart, but I have heard people say they work.
balsabee Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 Awesome with 6lb test and a spinning rod. I always start with brown craw and adjust from there. I use the same colors on both lakes. Champ188 1
Bill Babler Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 Balsa gave you the key. Throwing them on lite line with a spinning rod. I have tried them, and have a few very old ones. Personally I have not had any greater success with them than I have fishing the thicker model on heaver gear. Those fish are up there during wart time to eat, and being 1/3rd. bigger on a reaction bait has not for me made the difference, even on the clear waters of the White River Chain. Follow Balsa advice and let us know how they do. Good Luck http://whiteriveroutfitters.com http://whiteriverlodgebb.com
Champ188 Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I often throw a Bandit 200 on a spinning rod and 6-pound line in late fall/early spring. Makes a big difference sometimes in the number of bites you'll get.
