Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted December 29, 2014 Root Admin Posted December 29, 2014 Me and Babler put in at K this morning at 9 am. Hit all his walleye spots including the secret ones... the ones that if I mentioned them I'd get shot. But alas... they produced the same number of fish the "known" ones did - 000 Caught 4 white and one short wally at Snapp on a stick bait and white swimming minnow. One crappie close to the mouth of Beaver. All indicators pointed to a good day of catching - cloudy cover, a little current, front approaching, a little wind. But the fish weren't having it. Good time with Mr. Babler though. We'll get 'em!
duckydoty Posted December 29, 2014 Posted December 29, 2014 I did not fair much better out there. I got to K dock about 8 am. Mainly trolled #5 flicker shad and tried to stay in 16-25 feet of water sweeping channel drop offs. Ended up with 2 keeper crappie, one gian white, 2 small ones and 3 bluegill. Flickers were about 100 feet or more behind boat. Trolled between 1.3 and 1.7 mph and would tick bottom in 14 feet of water. A Little Rain Won't Hurt Them Fish.....They're Already Wet!! Moswimb8slinger Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I fished the river run side of the dam from 3 to 7 pm. I was 100ft down from the tower and was nearly crowded out of the spot and moved further down the bank to the flatter area where I saw some trout sipping bugs, and threw trout colored swimbaits to see if there was anything lurking nearby. I threw the same baits I had caught the walleye on a couple of weeks ago earlier that afternoon with no bites. And all the people that came down were throwing rogues and nobody got bit while I was there.
Roger Craig Posted December 30, 2014 Posted December 30, 2014 I might have passed ya was in Silver HHR, fished same spot, two small trout. Left right around 3 had things to get done.
