Quillback Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 It's colder than heck outside and very windy to boot, so I've been checking out the fishing tackle sites. Strike King has come out with an interesting finesse crank, the Lucky Shad. I might purchase a couple of these. Here's a review: http://wired2fish.scout.com/story/1499197-strike-king-pro-model-lucky-shad-review
jeb Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Looks good. Profile is very similar looking to a Shad Rap. But it sounds like it will cast much better than the Rap. John B 08 Skeeter SL210, 225F Yamaha
Quillback Posted January 7, 2015 Author Posted January 7, 2015 That's what I'm hoping, a better casting Shad Rap imitator.
fishingaddiction Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Review is very encouraging, looks good, might be worth a try. Born to Fish. Forced to Work.
dtrs5kprs Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 Anything is better than going outside. TW has to love weather like this. Going to get more heads poured, order more hooks, and maybe get a little rod building done. Lot of the flatsides throw better than the shad rap, and work about as well in cold water. Thinking of the flat A in particular.
jolicious Posted January 7, 2015 Posted January 7, 2015 The cold down here in Springdale (AR) got to me last night, too.... I am not real sure what a "Triggerfish Lure" top water thingie is, but I sure as heck bought a couple online e last night LOL!!

Reviews on Tackle Warehouse are very good. Almost too good in fact, makes me a bit suspicious.

J-Doc Posted January 8, 2015 Posted January 8, 2015 You are NOT helping.... LOL!!! I knew it!!! He's a sucker for new baits. :-) I've had a little info on this new line. I'm looking forward to them. And the other versions too. Like them or not the stupid Flicker Shads catch fish but don't cast well at all. But they will catch anything from a small 8" spotted bass to a 40+lb striper. So these should catch fish also. And Strike King makes quality products. I won't say anymore but someone here knows A LOT about these so I'll let him spill the beans if he choses. :-) Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
