Members Alaskman35 Posted January 14, 2015 Author Members Posted January 14, 2015 Would I be able to target any walley worth eating for our dinners? Also. Is there any catfish to be heard of? Thinking of running some lines off the houseboat at night. Thanks for all the info guys. I'm getting excited to visit BS. Looks like a beautiful lake
Ham Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 I catch all my walleye randomly while bass fishing. I'm not much help there. The lake has blues, channels, and flatheads. I would be shocked if you were not able to catch a few channel cats for dinner. Lots of people run noodles and I KNOW your kids would like that, but read the regulations carefully and keep up with ALL your noodles. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. Members Alaskman35 Posted January 15, 2015 Author Members Posted January 15, 2015 I spent a little time looking over maps last night. I'd like to spend 3 nights in different spots. I'm thinking maybe head west / north west out of the bull shoals Marina where I will be renting the house boat. Maybe looking at Barnes Bay Area to stay the first night? Could anyone tell me if heading east out of bull shoals would be worth it? Looks like a nice area on the north east side of the south end of the lake. I'm not a lake fisherman by any means though.
Ham Posted January 15, 2015 Posted January 15, 2015 The folks at the marina have a vested interest in giving you good advice. They know the lake, the current fishing conditions, and their boats. They won't steer you wrong. Get all the advice you can, but I would definitely ask them too. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish
