rps Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 2014 patterns were very different from those of the four years before it. Fish were simply not at the "usual" locations. On TR we never saw a hard thermocline develop. Early summer I was too deep, I think. In retrospect, I should have fished deeper than I did in late summer. In both cases I was fishing where the thermocline usually placed fish. rangerman 1
rangerman Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I found myself further back in creek arms than the main lakE and found fish there. Of course there was a lot of baitfish activity in the creek arms as well. And ditto what rps said.
Jeff Olson Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Thanks for the replies guys! I probably was staying to deep most of the summer. Tried to stay at the thermocline. I guess the lead core kept me staying deep and trying different spots, than trying different depths like I should! Looking forward to a good season this year!
