jbooth24 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 I just recently bought a kayak and was wanting to due some fishing. I'm going to fishing the crab tree cove area. Is there any good is fishing there in the summer?
Jim Elam Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 Yes. Good spot for yakking and bass fishing in the summer. Rock quarry is a blast at times. JE Jim "The obsessions of others are opaque to the unobsessed, and thus easy to mock...If we are lucky we all have at least one."
jbooth24 Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 What do you usually use for bass in te summer up there? I also want to try to catch some smallmouth while I'm there
Dutch Posted January 24, 2015 Posted January 24, 2015 You can take your yak and fish all the way around the island. There is no telling what you might catch. I've caught LMB, SMB, SPOTS, EYES, WHITES and even a few WHITE DRUM around there. There are also some brush piles in the middle of the east end. You never know what's going to be in the quarry, sometimes crappie, sometimes whites, sometimes smallies. PM me your name and address and I'll mail you some baits that have worked for me. jbooth24 Posted January 24, 2015 Author Posted January 24, 2015 Alright I will thank you. I have been there once but that was to swim and it looked like a good place to fish.
