Members Johnson Guide Service Posted January 26, 2015 Members Posted January 26, 2015 Got a nice 30 pound fish yesterday on a 2 inch shad. We have a lot of bait and fish from Praire Creek to Monta A. We ran 8 bait rods with little shad, big shad and brood shiners. If you go out look for the birds in the air and bait on your graph. The fis are down 30 to 40 feet and feeding on smalll bait.Water temp in running about 43 so the bite is a little slow. Think with the warm forcast it wont be long till we start of the run up river.

J-Doc Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Nice fish. I'd look a little happier if I had one like that. ;-) Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted January 26, 2015 Root Admin Posted January 26, 2015 Nice fish. I'd look a little happier if I had one like that. ;-) Betcha it was getting heavy!!!
J-Doc Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Betcha it was getting heavy!!! You got a good point there. That is a hefty stripped bass. Holding up this big ones can wear on ya. Terrierman Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Pretty sure I could still work up a big wide grin for one like that. Heck of a fish sir!
