We have a group that floats Caver to Tyler Bend every year late April Water is usually good and also the fishing. We never camp the same place for two night as we move along down the river each day. Also have done the Dillards Ferry to White river and that is nice also. Going to maybe do the lower river this year with the Supreme and 9.9 and maybe make a base camp and go up and down river from camp.

I floated Rush to Norfork once. Quite the little float trip. Highly recommended.

Other places? I'm doing a four day deal on the Eleven Point in May with two of my grandsons and their dad. Hwy 19 to Myrtle. Its about 32 miles which is my idea of about right for a four day deal. No hurrying and plenty of time to fish, camp and enjoy yourself.

Wow Rick, if you guys get a little lucky with weather, that trip could be epic. About 3 days on the river is all I can put together at my stage of life, but 4 days would be nice. I tend to be a little bit of a grinder though and I'm pretty worn out after 3 days. Maybe I'll learn to pace myself, eventually.

Our usual trip is the Eleven Point from Greer to Riverton.

3 nights and we take our time and camp in one spot for two nights.

We were just looking for something different. I sure do appreciate all the feedback.

Heck, you have lots of choices in May. I know there is a great three day trip on the Kings River in Arkansas. Up in MIssouri, there are several choices on the Big Piney. Beaver Creek is relatively seldom floated and has about three days' worth of floating. You could do the upper Eleven Point, Thomasville to Riverton. If you do it during the week, Pulltite to Powdermill on the Current is some spectacular scenery with a chance at good fishing. For a real adventure, the St. Francis from Hwy. E to Sam A. Baker Park is a unique float with rapids, long pools, and multi-species fishing.

You could even go higher up on some rivers than most people float if there is good May water. It's actually possible to float for three or four days on Huzzah and Courtois creeks. There is three days' floating on the upper Meramec above Maramec Spring. There's a lot more than three days on the upper Gasconade, and three or four days on the upper Niangua. You could do at least four days on upper Black River, putting in on the West Fork and going to Hwy. K. You can do three or four days on the upper Jacks Fork.
