Members Jozark Posted January 30, 2015 Members Posted January 30, 2015 I have been looking for a hair jig that was made for a Bull Shoals Guide named Tony Albright. I had fished with Tony a couple of times in the past and had great fishing days with him. I know he has since pasted and he will be missed. Does anyone know where I can find these hair jigs or knows who makes them? I have tried the marina he use to guide out of with no luck. Thanks for any help.
Members jak1717 Posted January 31, 2015 Members Posted January 31, 2015 I bought a few from Denny Dennis Sporting Goods a few years back.
rFisherk Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Tony used to fish my Flair Hair Jigs a lot. Was it this?
Old plug Posted January 31, 2015 Posted January 31, 2015 Imteresting to see what appears to me to be a split ring connected to the eye. Makes me think it is like a wobble head type thing. Will have to try that. I never knew there was anyone else made jigs like that but me. They are nice slow sinkers. I have made them that way and with variations. I just started experimenting again after uears of not tying. I never sold them ans was never interested in doing so. The jig design does make for a hice slow sinker. i will see of I cam PM you a picture.
Members Jozark Posted January 31, 2015 Author Members Posted January 31, 2015 rFisherk Those are some nice looking jigs, but not the jigs I was looking for. The jigs I was looking for where a ball head with one plastic weed guard. They where white, yellow, chartreuse, and black, and they were package with a mister twister trailer. I tried calling the Pontaic marina where they use to sell them maybe 15 years ago. I love to buy these if anyone knows where they might be.
Members Jozark Posted February 1, 2015 Author Members Posted February 1, 2015 I did call Denny Dennis but no luck Thanks Jak 1717 for the information.
Dutch Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 So do you have any left? If so can you post a pic. Someone may see it and offer to produce a few for you.
Members Jozark Posted February 1, 2015 Author Members Posted February 1, 2015 Dutch, I wish I did but my dad I believe has one or two back home on Table Rock. I will try and see if he could send one to me. They are a real simple jig and could probably make them myself, but it is a sentimental thing to me. I just remember the trips my dad and I had with Tony. I will see if I can get my dad to dig through his bag and find and get a pic. Thanks
Gavin Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 Get a pic of one. It does not sound like something that is hard to re-create.
