I'm going to head out this weekend. Hopefully this coming cold front doesn't mess with the bite too much. I love tangling with big striper on light line/rods.

How about you healing and get over here and catching some Keith? Im concerned about the front moving them out to deep water but they wont go far and should turn back on after the weather warms back up.

Every day finds the arm a little better as far as range of motion goes. I doubt I'll be able to set the hook with the left arm until summer, but I should be able to function with a spinning rod (and be able to drive safely) when the weather warms. I'm also prepping my left-hand-crank baitcasters.

Do you think you would have been spooled if you had been in your boat? Maybe saltwater tackle is in order if from shore?

Not if I had been in the boat, He took 250yards right off the spool like it wasn't there. In a boat I can turn on the big motor if needed lol. Nicks 45 and Yaks 44 both required us chasing them down, Granted Nick did it with 6lb though lol.
