Haven't been out since the cold snap. Understandably haven't seen many boats out the last few days since the snow hit. Heard the poor boys tourney out of spring creek last saturday didn't take much weight to win. 15 to 20 boats, only 2 boats brought in limit and that was a high of 55 to 60 last Saturday.

Had not planned on going today but on a last minute decision I fished up the theodosia arm from 1-3. First and only stop was half way back in a cove where a handful of gulls were diving on bait. Found a hungry school of 12-16" largemouth willing to bite a shallow susp. jb . Fish were very aggressive, pausing the bait for just a couple seconds between twitches. Boated a couple dozen but only 3 were keepers. All largemouth. All released. These bass were on a 50-60' stretch of bank and structure oriented. The colors on these bass were awesome. Bright copper, gold, and yellow with black accents. Wt 42.9

Well done...nothing like some gulls to give the fishes location away :)

that was not the original "game plan" btw

I was just going out to try for a deep jig bite that had produced some big ones back in january, but then I saw those darn diving gulls !

fished Wed. from 12:30-3:30 in Big Creek, caught 6 bass , 4 were keeper largemouth in the 3lb class. All released. Weather conditions were perfect imo. Could sit perfectly still and deadstick. Fished a perfect ten rogue on gravel transition banks in the coves in 15-20fow. Boat sitting in 30ish.. Bite was super slow, 20-25 second pauses between twitches. Heard several boats running around but never saw any. Wt 41-43 ,653.04

Thanks for all the post I went Thursday and put in at Spring Creek Ramp fished from 1-4. Did a lot more looking for brush, but did mange a dandy on a Jerkbait in the wind on a point a No-brainer spot. I will try and load it up. I didn't have to worry about a parking spot at the ramp I had my choice :wut: Water temp was 41ish on my graphs & yes the wind was BLOWING also.
