Ketchup Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 I aquired a hole in my lower cowl on my Yamaha 50 and wondering if i need to seal the hole? I have looked online for the answer but nothing. Im usually pretty picky about maintenance and looks, but other than filling the hole with silicone, i have no clue. If its not going to hurt anything for water to get in there, then i may leave it. Thanks fellers TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
fishinwrench Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 Yep, cover it up. Duct tape comes to mind, it should last as long as that 4S 50hp.
Ketchup Posted February 25, 2015 Author Posted February 25, 2015 good thing these motors are a grayish color. Duck tape should almost blend in. Dont think it will last 30 years stuck on there tho FW. TinBoats BassClub. An aluminum only bass club. If interested in info send me a PM.
fishinwrench Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 A piece of duct tape will probably outlive that 4-stroke.
