countryred Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 I saw where some recently caught a spotted bass that weighed just shy of 11 pounds in California. Might be a new world record.... What is every ones personal best from here in the Ozarks? Mine was a 3.98 caught along the North Shore area of Lake the Ozarks. Caught it on a clown rouge along the outside corner of a dock in early March about 15 years ago.
Members NWAbassinAC Posted March 1, 2015 Members Posted March 1, 2015 My biggest so far came out of Crooked Creek and weighed a smidge over 3 lbs on a hanging scale.
Smallieguy87 Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Caught a spot out of Joachim creek a few summers ago that was a chunky 17incher on a 5 inch zoom finesse worm on a spot remover head.
rFisherk Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 I caught one years ago from KY Lake that was 6-6 in a little, four-hour night tournament on a rare night when fishing was tough. The KY bass actually won the pot for the biggest bass, and we won the tournament with only three fish and 12-3. Had one smallmouth and one largemouth. I remember all this because it was just so strange. Ham and countryred 2

Al Agnew Posted March 1, 2015 Posted March 1, 2015 Biggest by weight had to be the bigger of two I caught in the winter on Black River right below Clearwater Dam. Dying threadfin shad had been coming through the spillway for quite a while and the spots were gorging themselves on them. I caught a 17 and an 18 incher which were both way fatter than footballs. I didn't weigh them, but the 18 incher simply had to be well over 4 pounds. The 18 incher is tied for my longest by length, too...I caught an 18 incher on the lower Meramec a few years ago.
hoglaw Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I caught one in 2000 from the white above beaver lake that was just over 7. Didn't realize it was a spot until I got the picture back and didn't really know the difference then. State record at the time was 7-15 I think. Used to catch a lot of big bass there and some monster spots but it's nowhere near what it was. Haven't caught one close to that fish anywhere since. NWAbassinAC 1
Ham Posted March 2, 2015 Posted March 2, 2015 I caught a 19 1/4 inch Spot from Lower BUll Shoals dragging a tube in 30 FOW water. No weight, but it was a toad. CajunAngler had a 4.76 on a digital scale back in Louisiana on the Ouachita River. Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries said it would have been 3rd heaviest documented, but they wanted him to kill it and bring it to them to certify later. I think it was a Friday and they weould get around to it on Monday. He decided to release the fish instead. Every Saint has a past, every Sinner has a future. On Instagram @hamneedstofish

I would love to see it.
