Members Will croskey Posted March 15, 2015 Members Posted March 15, 2015 What side was the guys that had the walleye fishing on I tried side opposite of the parking lot and fished minnows under slip bobbers for awhile with no luck was they using bobbers
Members Kaspur Posted March 15, 2015 Members Posted March 15, 2015 They were on the same side as the boat ramp, but opposite direction as the bridge. Looked like he had dual hooks rigged up.
Members anfisherman Posted March 15, 2015 Members Posted March 15, 2015 I stopped by 160 bridge at turnback and also went by Hulton bridge this evening. I fished both locations from the bank for about an hour each. I only caught a couple short largemouth. Everyone I talked to down there has not had any luck finding any whites or walleye this evening. But talked to a few guys that said they had done good the last two days. The water level is still low but there was a pretty good current this evening. The was was very dirty and full of debris. I had to clean leaves off my lure just about every cast.
Members Kaspur Posted March 15, 2015 Members Posted March 15, 2015 Some ole' boys told me last sunday, they heard that they were keeping Stockton low for some reason. My best guess is to dampen the mussels problem.
Aggressor1988long Posted March 15, 2015 Author Posted March 15, 2015 Well if thats the case its good, mussels I dont see the problem unless there is something I dont know, what's gonna happen is its gonna screw up the crappie spawn. Real talk and im gonna be real ticked off.......
Aggressor1988long Posted March 15, 2015 Author Posted March 15, 2015 I dont see a mussel problem, cause there are only a handful of private docks on Stockton.
smbasser Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 I would say the water is low to get ready for spring rains. if the water stays low before the crappie spawn it will not affect them. the fish will just adjust. I think the reason we have such a good bass population is because of the low water when they move on bed and then the rains come and the beds are deeper and the fry have more cover the hide in
Chief Grey Bear Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 The word I got a few weeks ago was they had installed a new turbine and were running it full bore for testing.
