Members Boozer Posted March 13, 2015 Members Posted March 13, 2015 what do you all recommend kayak or pelican predator? For fishing rivers and small lakes. would love to see every ones ideas on both and what you think would be best
hoglaw Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 Is the predator one of those square pontoonish things? They're nice but not very light or versatile. I think you'll get a lot more use out of a kayak. Plastic_worm 1
Smallieguy87 Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 I think it would depend which bodies of water you want to be on more often. I'd say the predator would be great for ponds and small lakes but i don't think i would want to take it on the river. In the end the kayak will be far easier to transport, should be lighter and can do well in both lakes and rivers.
vonreed Posted March 15, 2015 Posted March 15, 2015 I use a kayak multiple times a week on both the rivers and lakes in the area. The only thing better on a lake is taking a boat. Other crafts are too slow(personal pontoons). In the river a kayak or canoe is best.
ollie Posted March 16, 2015 Posted March 16, 2015 If your looking to get into a yak my neighbor has one for sale. Academy's Heritage brand. Pm me if interested. It is in great shape and he is wanting another pontoon boat he claims.
