Hojo Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 I have a small small club tourney this weekend out of ER. I had planned on working my way east but given the recent warm weather and increase in water temp, running back up the river is creeping into my mind. Anybody have some suggestions?
5bites Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Remember the water coming by eagle rock isn't typical upper end lake water. It's bottom of beaver lake water. This makes table rock fish a wee bit different. What I mean is you may find that sometimes the water isn't warmer or dirtier but the opposite. In fact Sunday I went east for that exact reason and found the dirty water I was looking for after seeing the creeks clearing up west of eagle rock. This is something to keep in mind during the spawn too. The rule of thumb is fish spawn earlier on the upper end of a lake because of the dirtier and warmer water. That's not necessarily the case at table rock.
rps Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 Panther Creek, Owl Creek, or Roaring River will offer higher temp water.
Devan S. Posted March 18, 2015 Posted March 18, 2015 I would echo what rps said. I would add rock creek to the mix too. I have heard several stories this week of some quality 4-5lb fish caught in several of those areas in shallow water. Sac River Jim 1
Hojo Posted March 18, 2015 Author Posted March 18, 2015 Yep. Good point fellas. I appreciate the info. I originally had RR, Owl and Panther in my plan. I will stick with that and check out Rock Creek too.
