rps Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 I just recieved a large package of Naked NuTech Jig heads from Bo. High quality stuff folks. I will be dressing them with deer hair in Craw type colors. I will post pictures. I will fish these very old school with pork frog trailers. Last weekend I used pork frog trailers on my spinner bait for the first time in a while. I had forgotten how much difference it made to use real rind trailers if you pretreated them. I will post pictures of that as well. It is time some of you learned old boy tricks before we all go to the next "new, best lake."
dtrs5kprs Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Next thing you know you'll be throwing a Pedigo Spin-Rite.
rps Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 Tom Mann go his idea for the Little George from there.
J-Doc Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 Is it the scent that makes the pork trailer so good? I've used one once but it was many many years ago. Need marine repair? Send our own forum friend "fishinwrench" a message. He will treat you like family!!! I owe fishinwrench a lot of thanks. He has been a great mechanic with lots of patience!
rps Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 First, the frogs move like they are alive. Second, the salt cure meant they were the first salt saturated bait. Third, they squished like real meat. On spinner baits the last point was not so important. I will try to figure out a way to film a frog in a tank.
rps Posted March 20, 2015 Author Posted March 20, 2015 1/4 ounce NuTech jig with black/orange/yellow/red bown/brown/yellow olive/olive deer hair (tied on in that order). J-Doc 1

I used to fish an Uncle Josh frog chunk on a plain weedless wire hook around any vegetation in the water. Caught lots of fish on that in the 1970's. No doubt in my find it would still work.
