I think it's single fly, but Tim will chime in shortly.

In Zone 2 from the posted sign at the mouth of Dry Hollow Creek to the Old dam in the lower campground only flies may be used.

Definition of a Fly for Roaring River State Park

Fly- An artificial lure constructed on a single point hook, using any material except soft plastic bait and natural and scented bait as defined above, that is tied, glued or otherwise permanently attached .(flies may be fished with or without a spinner attached; single-point hook spinners commonly referred to as a rooster tails may be used in waters designated for flies only)

In Zone 1 at Roaring River you could use more than 1 fly because you are allowed to use artificial lures.

It is the same Definition for a Fly for Bennett Spring but the Zones are different , so check your zones of what to use.

I'm pretty sure you can use a double rig anywhere in the park as long as it meets the above definition of a fly. I have fished hopper / dropper rig there in zone 2 many times - I think with CA watching me fish a few times........

I always thought hopper droppers were not allowed at the parks. Guess I was wrong after doing some google searching.

As long as the dropper is at least 6 inches away from the primary fly it is considered to be two separate flies. This is what I was told by the CO at another park.

I was down in Zone 2 this weekend and saw almost every spin fishermen using some sort of soft plastic, be it a trout magnet or something similar. Does not seem to matter to much though, I did not see any of them catching anything. I think the CA could watch it a little closer IMAO

Spoons are ok, if the fisherman removes the treble hook, and replaces it with a single hook

that has a fly tied on it, I have fixed spoons like that many times for my customers.

We do Rapalas like that to, great in zone 2.
