With my club tourney coming up this saturday, I thought i better get over and fish the area.

I put in at 4:00pm and fished til 6:45pm. I caught several nice whites, and 8 bass, with 4 of those being keepers.

Water was pretty clear. It can only improve from here.

congrats!!!!! those whts sure are fun to catch they interfere with our bass fishing hahaha!!!!!! last sunday my partner pulled a 4.95 kicker out of a small pocket and i threw right back in there with a jerk bait and BAM!!!! i thought i set the steal on another good bass but when i got it near the boat it was a darn wht in the 18in class. I'd loved to have caught it last week when I was meat fishing but during a derby it was kind of a let down.

Yes they are fun to catch Jim. I lost 2 hogs that were stronger than my new 4lb test line. Caught every fish, including bass on that line and crappie rod. Couldnt get them to bite the 8lb line with bass rigs. They wNted very small baits.

Thanks 5... Caught first fish on second cast of the day. They were pretty active on that single stretch of shoreline.

Friday looks to only be 45 for a high, so they may back off some.

we put in at Ruark this morning and had 5 keeps on a jerker in about 30 mins. went up the creek and put a ton of whites in the boat by 1:30 pm. the cold front moving through slowed them down but when the sun popped out we caught fish.all our green fish came on the jerker a spro rock crawler and a spro little john
