It appears to me the single most important factor was the water temperature.

Someone once posted here that 70 something children die in this country each year choking on hot dogs. I know 250,000 people die of influenza each year. I imagine the number of people slipping in the shower and dying would surprise us. This is a country of over 300,000,000 million people and 8,000,000,000 people on the planet – there will be bad stuff happening every day and we will hear it because of the efficiency of the news media. But we must consider each day a gift and not live in fear.

This is no consolation for this young girl’s family. For them I am truly grieved.
