No flicker shad in summer sorrrrrry.

I took the new "banana-shad" out for a test troll -- at @ 1mph constant ticking bottom in 24-25 FOW.... Maybe summer ????

Thanks for all the great replies...keep'em coming! I plan on going in the morning and will try some of these out.

The dinning center manager at Kentwood Hall gave me two old Rebel lures I think there a tinny-R there black and silver. She said her father in law wore'em out at Stockton with them and when they quit making them he order some from Rebel but the minimum order was 300.

Im no pro at trolling cranks but the flicker shad has brought me home many a limit of crappie and walleye during and arfer the spawn. Trol. known spawning coves 20-30 fow female crappie will be suspended/staging 10-15 FD. You'll be catching the slab females when everyone else is beating the banks weeding through shorts. Dont get me wrong i'll beat banks some during spawn but i would rather leave males to guard his nest and focus on the females who may or may not lay her eggs.

Agreed! On days I'm struggling to catch fish, three rods get rigged up with flickershad (at least one being a purple tiger stripe) and off we go. Its almost cheating. If I wasn't so stuck in my ways or hard headed I would probably be better off just to start trolling them right from the get go.
