Yes - that little cove is at the end/start of where the channel swings in-- great transition spot....... Members jimalert3 Posted March 29, 2015 Members Posted March 29, 2015 Sac: I moved there in 1963 from Maryvillee MO and moved back to Springfield when I rerired in 1985. I was borned and raised in Springfield so that's were I wanted to be when I leave this world, which is'nt long because I'm 90 and onehalf. I saw the lake built and have been allover the bottoms helping farmers with conservation work. Have the old 1976 geological maps before the lake was built. They show every thing that was there before the lake filled up. In one way it's like table rock in that when we stood on the dam after it was constructed someone ask when it would be full an the officer incharge said in about a year. Well that was November and the next spring it was as full as it has ever been, as I remember about 898 .As you rember TR was not finished when the flood just about took it out. The middle three sections were not in yet constructed. Sac River Jim and Phil Lilley 2
