Members lindja Posted April 3, 2015 Members Posted April 3, 2015 Anyone have any quick float options on the Upper-Middle Meramec? Live in the St. James area and would love to be able to take off a little early from work for a quick kayak float and fish. However, all the good accesses seem to be 7-10 miles apart (Cedar Ford, Woodson K, Scott's Ford, Riverview) making it impossible for a 3-6pm situation to be realistic. Just wondering if anyone has any gems of a quick put-in for a yak or two that would make that feasible. I found what looks like a road on GoogleMaps that may do the trick down off Meramec Farms Road that may do the trick but figured it may be a private access. Coordinates on GoogleMaps: 37°55'15.1"N 91°30'03.7"W Just seeing if something like that would be feasible. Thanks!
moguy1973 Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 That's a tough one. Scotia on the Huzzah to Onadonga isn't a very long float. but might be farther than you want to drive. -- JimIf people concentrated on the really important things in life, there'd be a shortage of fishing poles. -- Doug Larson
joeD Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Try calling outfitters in the area you want to float. Easy enough to look up, as you have a computer and know how to use it.
