Members jr45 Posted April 3, 2015 Members Posted April 3, 2015 How is the water in the Big M area after all the rain last night and early this morning? Thinking about coming down tomorrow and putting in a Big M, but I want to know if there is lots of debris in the water.
Quillback Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Yesterday it was fishable with very little debris, at least from Owl creek down to point 23. But, I hear Roaring river got pretty high, might have kicked out some muddy water. Lake level hasn't gone up much so I don't think you will see any more debris out in the main channel. Maybe someone was out there today and can provide an update.
Muddy Water Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 Tuesday I crossed the bridge at Eagle Rock and the lake looked good with a slight green tint to it, yesterday when I went that way again the lake was brown, muddy looking. I assume this muddy water came down from Holiday Island since there was no rain Wednesday. I'm sure it will make its way to Big M soon if it hasn't already and we had LOTS of rain last night in this area; not sure how much but it was coming down real hard for about 45 minutes
Devan S. Posted April 3, 2015 Posted April 3, 2015 I attempted to fish the eagle rock to owl creek area which isn't exactly the same area but very close. Main lake was stained. Owl creek was muddy even though the creek wasn't to high. Roaring river was just starting to get muddy about mid morning. I didn't see a lot of debris just watch where your going and you should be good. I would either go to the mouth of the creeks or all the way back in the clearer water….but thats my preference. The wind was much more of an issue for me and an aluminum boat. Sac River Jim 1
