Members JarheadFisherman0311 Posted April 9, 2015 Members Posted April 9, 2015 I am fishing on Lake of the Ozarks on Sunday, April 11. I am looking for information on the bite around PB2 and the Dam area, possibly the Gravois Arm also. How is the water color? Is there a good jig bite? What stage of spawn are the largemouth in? ANY INFO would be much appreciated. Thank you!
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted April 9, 2015 Root Admin Posted April 9, 2015 Looks as if you're fishing 2 tournaments in one day, one on Stockton and one on LOZ. That'd be a trick! Got your date wrong on this thread.
Members JarheadFisherman0311 Posted April 9, 2015 Author Members Posted April 9, 2015 Sorry about that! after Stockton on Saturday, I am driving up to LOZ to fish for fun on Sunday! I gotta slow down while i'm typing, sorry for the confusion!
fishinwrench Posted April 9, 2015 Posted April 9, 2015 There are some pre-spawn females in the calm, quiet backend areas. Jigs, tubes, and flukes are getting bit. Water color really doesn't matter right now. What matters is your approach, you can't go into those skinny little backends and make a bunch of racket, you have to turn all your humming/clicking gizmo's off and be careful not to put the fish into "safe mode" with errant casts and such. Or if that doesn't suit your style then you can just burn down the banks with a wiggle wart and crap shoot a limit of keepers. JarheadFisherman0311 1
