I hear you, I was expecting the Royals to do some retaliating, I think I remember they had 4 guys plunked in one game recently.

Really- come on guys that's baseball. When you're 7-0 scoring like 10 runs a game and jumping all over every pitcher it happens. Teams have to try and bust you inside to keep you from getting comfortable and diving out over the plate.

Yeah it sucks but all part of the game. Early in the season and it's already killing me to hear Royals fans playing victim.

Royals have 12 Hit batters, Giants have 11. Next is like 4. I don't like when pitchers go out and just start playing bean ball, but if it doesn't change even more players are going to get hurt. Most of the HBP probably aren't intentional, but they sure are not sad about Rios' .321 average being out of the lineup because of it.

Not playing victim, it is just open season on the batters because teams don't like that we aren't playing like the perennial cellar dwellers like we had been. It sucks because we are finally putting something together and have players getting hurt because pitchers don't have the necessary control to be pitching inside on people.

I agree that teams must pitch inside, I'm just saying do a little of the same and pitchers might think twice if they feel they are endangering their players. Royals are letting themselves be victimized, I don't blame other teams for doing it.
