rFisherk Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 On a hike today with my golden retriever, I found this huge morel; almost a meal in itself. The thing was over 11 inches long and so heavy it had fallen flat to the ground, yet still attached. ness 1

rFisherk Posted April 20, 2015 Author Posted April 20, 2015 I'm trying to do that, but every time I get one near him, he tries to eat it. Actually had a worthless hound when I was a kid that would find mushrooms. Then one of us would have to keep him at bay with a stick while the others picked them.
rFisherk Posted April 20, 2015 Author Posted April 20, 2015 Someone needs to invent a mushroom detector, sort of like a metal detector.
fishinwrench Posted April 20, 2015 Posted April 20, 2015 Deer and ground squirrels seem to be able to sniff them out.
