1969Larson Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 I would recommend either... - fish a tourney on Lake 'O the Pines (Brushy Creek? I grew up in Longview) for a good chance at some 5+ lb bass - fish for stripers on Beaver for a good chance at some 15+ lb fish
Members BassinHawg Posted April 30, 2015 Members Posted April 30, 2015 I would recommend either... - fish a tourney on Lake 'O the Pines (Brushy Creek? There is a two day, May 2 and May 3, Big Bass Tournament that will probably have more boats that the Beaver Lake Chamber Tournament. First Place is a 2015 Skeeter ZX200 and Yamaha 200 SHO and $40,000 cash. It get crazy there too as I am sure you know. Usually takes a 8 to 10 lb fish to win it.

Feathers and Fins Posted April 30, 2015 Posted April 30, 2015 As nice as this weekend will be I would suggest that people who do not want to put up with boat traffic and the headaches go to the Elk River https://www.facebook.com/pages/Beaver-Lake-Arkansas-Fishing-Report/745541178798856
Guest Posted May 2, 2015 Posted May 2, 2015 Gotta wonder how many walleye were caught accidentally in that tournament.
Members Blueman Posted May 2, 2015 Members Posted May 2, 2015 I caught this 22 incher in 30 fow about 5' down at 2:00 with the sun blazin. I don't know what she was thinking.
Ron Burgundy Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 That's a skinny 22" walleye. Gone but not forgotten Martin Ford
J-Doc Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 I was thinking same thing. But I have caught some very skinny ones this year. Terribly skinny. Need marine repair?
