Word of caution:

That stuff doesn't like heat & direct sunlight.

Keep them stored in a tackle bag or storage compartment.

I nearly ruined an entire tackle box full or TRD's & cut zeros yesterday.

I left my box on the front deck while the glue dried on the jigheads.

It got warm but not super hot.

After 20-30 minutes, I went to tie on a new jighead when I found the disaster.

That stuff wont stretch at higher temps, it just rips in half. Especially the zeros.

I quickly dipped a few in the water & saved them.

After sticking them in the shade, under the console they were okay.

Don't stretch the zeros if they get hot. they will tear in half.

Cool them down by dipping in the water & lay in a cool place (shade)

The TRD will stretch when warmed up, so I "modified" a few of them into 3.25" models.

It didn't tear in half as quickly as the zeros.

Hopefully, this will save somebody time $ money.

I lost $20 worth (because I stretched them) The others are okay today

Thanks for the tip.

That's right and don't mix them with other plastics either, the Zman plastics will melt other soft plastics. I glue them and place them right back in the same bag. Also I learned to not glue up no more ahead of time that what I might us on a trip. The salt in them will rust the hooks and they will break with very little pressure.

Good to know! Thanks for the tip.

Mine stay in the hatch until needed, then go right back into the darkness. I've taken some on pond trips with temps up in the 100 degree range. If you keep them out of the sun, they seem to tolerate the heat.

Last summer, I noticed one of my Ned's looked like a dried up night crawler after I left it in the truck bed. Gotta be the direct sunlight.

Agree it is probably a sunlight plus heat issue. Elaztech can take a "set" resulting in a bent bait. Have heated them to a boil many times without much trouble, and removes the set well (usually requires no stretching).

I have never actually tried to stretch one after boiling it though. Probably won't now...
