Maybe use the Ned as the 'weight' in a drop shot setup. Drop it into a school of angry spots and I could see doubles possibilities.

i have used a football jig as a drop shot weight before, no doubles on it but , i have caught fish with that setup, no reason why the NED wouldn't work

That 1/16 is a real beast. Everyone latches on to the 1/8 because they can feel it, but the 1/16 will eat its lunch.

Last time out I picked up a couple vertical fishing the Ned. Seems to get me a few every time out. Usually the boat is sitting in 20-30 FOW and I'll see the sonar showing a fish or two near the bott

It works. I have a place or two we do it for goggleye, and usually end up catching some nice K's as well. Vertically, it is about like dropping the old stingray grub at them, but with the benefits
