Only time it freaks me out is when there is a bloom. Fishing is stupid tough when it's in a bloom. I know there are active fish in an area but catching fish with a bloom has always proven tough for me. Escape the bloom, I start catching fish.

Just a theory and superstition of sorts I've developed over the years.

There will very likely be a smaller size down the road. A lot of the grass lake folks want one.

The local reaction to anything remotely green in the lake is pretty funny to me, having grown up fishing with cows in the water, and water color on the order of coffee and cream. The rock snot freaks the fishermen out far more than it does the bass or the bait. Plenty of shad, craws, perch, all over the snotty places. If there is food, there will be bass there to feed.

The white river lakes are freakishly clear sometimes its almost eery seeing the bottom in 20+ fow. I think your jigs work great, i pull keitechs behind them, but for crappie i find myself using a 1/64th no collar ball head.

Ive caught lots of fish that were 5+ pounds at the boat....yet after removing all the milfoil shrank down to 12 inches, amazing how they do that!
