Minnows in Springfield

Now that Tranthams is closed in Springfield I don't really have a source for minnows here. Does anyone know of a place? Especially around north spfld? Thanks

Moores market on north glenstone just north of

I-44 on the east side and fellows lake marina. Im not sure who supplies them now though cause they bought from tranthems.

Thanks for the tip. I will try Moore's. The Fellow's Lake Marina is out right now but their normal price is $3.50/doz. Ouch!!

Well, I called Moore's and you were right. They only carry crappie minnows and they are $3.00 a dozen. A little better price. Thanks wuteversbitin.

Anytime my friend...glad i could help. I hate that tranthem closed i had been going there over 25years. After he himself passed away it wasnt the same. Lots of good memories from that place!

Does that place at Cotner's Corner have minnows?

Unless Moore's has changed they weren't having a specific size minnow. Last time I got them from there some of them were big enough to filet.

Cotner's Corner stopped carrying minnows when Bullseye took over a few years ago. That was my favorite place.

That's what Moore's told me Ranger. She said it is just a mixture of all sizes!!

moores take good care of their minnows but when you buy a dozen thats what you get. 12
