Members oldasdirt Posted May 26, 2015 Author Members Posted May 26, 2015 That is interesting. Thanks also keeping a eye on the water levels. I have some spots from past experience but don't think they will be in play under the current conditions and I've always used wolf if it keeps raining may they may cancel this little party but I sure have enjoyed grand the times I've been there.
Members oldasdirt Posted May 27, 2015 Author Members Posted May 27, 2015 They called the party off. Think it was a good call but I appreciate all the help thanks.
5bites Posted May 27, 2015 Posted May 27, 2015 You bet. It'll be 752 by the end of the day. 10' over is a ton of water in grand.
Devan S. Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 I know you probably can't launch at wolf creek are the boat ramps at say Iron Horse or 10 bridge usable? I'm wanting to head over and catfish in the next week or so. I really want to stay on the river end of the lake to fish.
5bites Posted June 4, 2015 Posted June 4, 2015 Wolf Creek Tuesday. There was water in the parking on the other side of the street too. This is lower than it was over the weekend.
5bites Posted June 5, 2015 Posted June 5, 2015 The water was almost up to the road at it when I drove by. My guess is Honey creek and Terra miranda are the two best bets. Just guesses though.
Members oldasdirt Posted July 8, 2015 Author Members Posted July 8, 2015 Just wondering how things or on grand after this latest round of heavy rain.
Bird Watcher Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 What do you want to know? It looks to be going up a little. The thing about Grand is that there are so many ramps and accesses you will always be able to find a place to launch a boat if you know your way around. There are many, many more launches than Wolf Creek, Tierra Miranda and Honey Creek State Park. Dead end roads and such. There will be some logs and mud, but it's Grand Lake. That's kind of why you go there is for the logs and mud.(i.e. fertility) I went two days last weekend. The lake was 748 and some change. Caught fish hand over fist. I'd say load up and go fishing, but that's what I always say. Daryk Campbell Sr 1
