Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 27, 2015 Root Admin Posted May 27, 2015 27 May 2015 Update:Table Rock is currently releasing our authorized flood control release of 15k cfs. Table Rock Lake's surface pool elevation is approximately 918.07 and rising. Crest prediction is 918.5 on 28 May. As long as Table Rock Lake's elevation is between 917 and 920 this operation will continue. At Table Rock, we are using spillway gates to evacuate flood storage because 2 generators are out of service because of storm related damages."Table Lake Dam's current spillway/generator release is (8 gates @ 1" for a spillway release of 8.1k cfs and two generators max power releasing 6.5k cfs). Combined with hydropower, the total release will be approximately 14.6 cfs.FYI - Beaver Dam is lowering their gate openings to 1/2 foot each at 10:00 am this morning. Beaver Dam's total release with this change will be approximately 11,860 cfs.Jim SandbergOperations Project ManagerTable Rock Lake
Terrierman Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 Thanks Phil. I looked at the lake levels and releases this morning. I guess the Arkansas river is high enough that BSD is holding back as much as they can.
Gatorjet Posted May 28, 2015 Posted May 28, 2015 I just saw a pic on another forum taken this morning showing all ten gates open some. Maybe with the predicted rain they are letting even more out. Real men go propless!
Brian K. Shaffer Posted May 29, 2015 Posted May 29, 2015 Currently it is 707.0 and flowing 6483 cfs .... lake is 916.9 Just once I wish a trout would wink at me! ozarkflyfisher@gmail.com I'm the guy wearing the same Simms longbilled hat for 10 years now.
Members Fly Fishing Pete Posted May 29, 2015 Members Posted May 29, 2015 ^For whatever reason, that's what the recording says when you call the dam. But it is incorrect. If you look at the generation sticky thread, it shows the water up at about 711. Based on how high it is at my place on the lake and the volume of water ripping down the lake, it is significantly higher than 707. Also, the water temperature is 62 degrees at my dock.
Root Admin Phil Lilley Posted May 29, 2015 Author Root Admin Posted May 29, 2015 They kicked on the other 2 gates couple of days ago. It brought the level up may be a foot. MDC boat ramp plateau is now under water. TR is holding at 918-something. Beaver isn't dropping very fast either.
