Here's an interesting study done by New Hampshire to show how far bass move after being released after a tournament. Looks like they don't all hang around the weigh-in spot as much as some think

They hang around for awhile. Long enough usually.

But yeah, eventually they will venture onward. No radio tracking is necessary to figure that one out.
