cwc87 Posted June 6, 2015 Posted June 6, 2015 If you want to start at HV and float to scotia you can start as early as you want. Pretty easy deal call pay print off check in form for release of liability and give that to the security guard at store porch. Set a pick up time also. If you want to put in upstream or courtois our shuttle drivers are normally available at 7-730

Coosa Posted June 7, 2015 Posted June 7, 2015 I floated blunts to bass thursday. Threw wtd, fluke and spinnerbait. 1 bite 0 fish.
Eric82 Posted June 7, 2015 Author Posted June 7, 2015 Well the bite was good. Caught smallies and sunfish with white popper bugs, olive bunny leeches, and black BH woolies. The wife caught the same plus rock bass on brown trout rooster tails. Fun weekend!!!

joeD Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Well, at least Coosa reported, successful or not. Not a lot to go on though... Chin up, hopefully something was learned, go get 'em next time!
Coosa Posted June 8, 2015 Posted June 8, 2015 Not sure what happend last thursday, but it was bad. I talked to another angler when I was taking out and he said he only caught 1 Goggle eye So maybe just one of those days I guess. This is the only bad trip I have had there. I was making one trip a week for the previous 3 weeks and Killin em on topwater. Then the creek got very high and the water was just getting back down the day I got skunked.
Al Agnew Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Well, I floated Courtois today. A friend camped at Bass's, last night, another friend was driving down early this morning, the two of them were going to rent a canoe for the day, and I was invited to join them. The fishing was about as tough as I've ever had it on the Courtois. The two of them weren't fishing seriously, and let me go ahead of them most of the day. they caught one smallmouth between them. I caught 20, none over 14 inches. Mostly on topwater. I think our anti-fish pheremones were in operation. River was in great shape, just a slight hint of color and flowing well but not too high. Geez, I think the river is getting pounded. Nearly every fish I caught had scarred lips from being caught before. More people on it today than I've ever seen in the middle of the week, though only two canoes were fishermen. They were fishing with minnows--don't know if they were keeping anything. They were ahead of us the first half of the float, but the fishing didn't improve once we passed where they were taking out. Nice day, though.
cwc87 Posted June 10, 2015 Posted June 10, 2015 Dang Al I hit the huzzah from 6:30 am to 9:30am. A short trip. I threw WTD lure but they would wiff at it so I would follow with a chomper and after a few casts I could catch one. So, I threw buzz bait and it was productive even in the deeper swifter areas. All I could catch on spinnerbaits was fish underc12.inches. No doubt the fish are on the move.
