Members Chef of the Sea Posted June 15, 2015 Members Posted June 15, 2015 I mean no harm, nor do I mean to keep your fish
Amery Posted June 16, 2015 Posted June 16, 2015 I hope you found an ecape. If they are not running water it is possible to find the fish in a yak with the fly rod. If they are running(preferably one unit) then a person can find fish in the eddies out of a yak but in that situation I prefer spinning gear and spoons. You talking about the war eagle creek or lake arm?
Members Chef of the Sea Posted June 16, 2015 Members Posted June 16, 2015 The creek, looks like around withrow springs or off of 412. This rains really dumping on my parade so idk where to do now. Knew it was gonna rain but it rained a lot in Fayetteville tonight. Maybe just go look around and hang a hammock on the highest tree I can find. I'll take fly, spinning rod and yak wherever I may roam in case it looks fishy. Keep Ya posted Amery 1
Members Chef of the Sea Posted June 17, 2015 Members Posted June 17, 2015 Water water everywhere. Spent my day roaming around looking at all the water. Hooked a small brown trout at Parker bottoms but the water was a rising fast. Pretty cool to see that happen. Left there and went to check out withrow springs and war eagle creek. HA! Spent the rest of my day at the movie theatre nonetheless there was a lady at war eagle brodge taking pictures, she showed me pics from her house on the Kings. Hoping everyone stays safe out there. You don't realize the power of water until you see it first hand like that. Got pics but don't know how to post em Amery 1
cpriest Posted June 23, 2015 Posted June 23, 2015 Not to hi-jack the thread, but you can always explore lake fayetteville when water is high and blown out. It will get muddy, but it has a spill way so it never really rises much. Make sure to check in at the shop before you go though and pay the few dollars to fish. I went out last week in search of carp on the fly, but also for a few nice bass and red ears.

Members LanceB Posted June 25, 2015 Members Posted June 25, 2015 In the water. Like swimming? Seems like it would be difficult.
Amery Posted June 25, 2015 Posted June 25, 2015 I think if you have a kayak or other boat you can reach the areas he is referring to.
